A Rich and Satisfying Life

What does “Being Rich Waterfall” mean?

“See, I have written your name on the palm of My hand…” Isaiah 49.16

At 18 years old, a spiritual baby, these were the first Words of Life that I buried in my heart and remembered. Learning that my biological name, Jessica, had been engraved deeper, more permanent than a tattoo, into the very HAND of the Creator of the World, compelled me to know God and pursue knowing Him. I’m approaching the 9th year of this pursuit, and only swimming the surface of knowing who this God is. I consistently fall in love with this God-Person, Who has actually been pursuing me since before I ever looked His way. ‘Jessica’ is both a Hebrew and English name meaning rich. It also means God beholds! God sees me. God observes me. He knows me. He loves me! Despite my many failures and shortcomings (doubts, fears...), I find deepest comfort in this spiritual pursuit, journeying through grace and strength in the knowledge of God. My middle name, Lynn, is American English, French, Spanish, German… meaning waterfall. It also means dwells by the torrent and cascade

After meeting Jesus, Yeshua, Emmanuel, the One called by many Names, as the face of grace and spiritual freedom (safety, salvation), I've been on a journey (albeit unknowingly) of discovering who I truly am: Rich Waterfall. In the zeal of a 'religious identity', I changed from "Jewish" to "Christian". I have fully obeyed the Words of the Messiah when He teaches that in order to find our life (the purpose of it) we must lose it, and anyone who loses one's life for His sake will find it. Yet, there came a point for me where I lost too much of myself in that process of finding it—the beautiful, image-of-God, creative-created self, the one He has written as Heaven’s poetry etched on a human life. So here I am, recovering into wholeness, richness, freedom, dwelling by His torrent of grace and truth, light and life, removing all the labels, and sharing the adventures with you!

This holistically thriving life of mine enjoys movement, dancing, yoga, music, singing, piano, writing, poetry, art, deep and authentic relationships, uni-tasking (not multi-tasking), slowing down, riding bikes, cooking, savoring, prayer, reading, worship, colors, sunsets, nature, hiking, baking, hostessing, coffee-drinking, and more. I've found that there is such a rich significance in simply BEING that Heavenly Original, being one's true self. To honor that significance, I aim to use this sacred writing space to share my insights, reflections and encouragement for other spiritual sojourners.

I invite you to journey along and BEcome more fully your true YOU.

I’d love to hear from you in a comment:
What does your name mean?
Are you living in the fullness of the meaning of your name and/or the meaning of your life? If not, how can you take one step towards your full, rich, abundant life?

“…I have come to give them a rich and satisfying life!” John 10.10

    1. Yes! Hebrews 9.24 in the Voice says The Anointed One did not enter into handcrafted sacred spaces-imperfect copies of heavenly originals- but into heaven itself, where He stands in the presence of God on our behalf. <3
