One reason for defining what my name means in my first entry was to set the stage for this blog as an outlet for cultivating identity through creativity, process, truth-telling, authentic discoveries. What does “Being Rich Waterfall” mean? “See, I have written your name on the palm of My hand…” Isaiah 49.16 At 18 years old, a spiritual baby, these were the first Words of Life that I buried in my heart and remembered. Learning that my biological name, Jessica, had been engraved deeper, more permanent than a tattoo, into the very HAND of the Creator of the World, compelled me to know God and pursue knowing Him. I’m approaching the 9 th year of this pursuit, and only swimming the surface of knowing who this God is. I consistently fall in love with this God-Person, Who has actually been pursuing me since before I ever looked His way. ‘Jessica’ is both a Hebrew and English name meaning rich .
